Apply ceramic coating on wheels

To make work easier, remove both rear and front wheels.

There is some paint peeling from stepping stones etc., but it hasn’t been driven that much, so I think it’s clean.

＜Waterproofing of collar＞

If water gets into the wheel, it will damage the bearings, so I try to prevent it from getting in.
Wrap the collars with plastic wrap and insert it directly into the oil seal.

This way, even if some water is sprayed, it will not enter the wheel in large quantities.

＜Spray iron dust remover＞

Spray the surface thoroughly with iron dust remover.

After a short time, the iron dust on the surface will turn a purple, almost black color.

＜Wash iron dust remover＞

After about 5 minutes, flush the iron dust remover with water.

Rinse thoroughly so that no white streaks of the remover remain.

＜Wash with car shampoo＞

Wash the wheels with a microfiber cloth with car shampoo.

The cloth is used to entangle the iron dust that has been weakened by the iron dust remover.
The rear wheel had black oil stains from chain grease stuck to the base of the rim, which was difficult to remove.

Then, the wheels are wiped dry.

＜Apply ceramic coating 1＞

Apply one or two drops of the coating agent to the paper cloth.

＜Apply ceramic coating 2＞

Apply the ceramic coating on a paper cloth to the entire wheel, spreading it thinly.

The front wheel is a single disc, so it was easy to apply, but the rear wheel was painful as I repeatedly hit the back of my hand on the sprocket teeth.

It would have been better to wear gloves to prevent injury and to prevent roughness of the hands from the coating agent.

Then, using a paper cloth, flatten the coating and allow it to dry for about 3 hours.
In fact, I opened the day and coated the front and rear wheels three times each.

The wheels are then put back on and that’s it.
