1. Suitable for exterior removal and installation
A 4 mm hexagonal spanner is often used to remove and install the exterior of the YZF-R125 (5D7).
Of course, you can work with on-board tools, but for efficiency you will want a hexagon socket.
There are several lengths of hexagon sockets available, but considering the parts and frequency of use, I recommend that you first prepare the BT3-04S.

Used for loosening and tightening hexagon socket head bolts.
When used, it is attached to the following KTC tools.
- Handle / AB-53… for bolts
- Quick spinner / BE3-Q… for tapping screws

3. Product Review
1) Good points
- Can be sure where the bit enters the hexagonal hole. (harder to lick the hexagonal hole)
- Good length when unscrewing the front panel under the handlebars.
- Just the right length for unscrewing the front upper side cowl.
- So far, I haven’t licked the hex holes on the bolts / tapping screws.
- If the bit is damaged, only the bit (T-04S) can be replaced.
2) Unsatisfied points
- The hexagon socket head screws that hold the bit in place loosen after use. (unavoidable due to construction)
- The size indicator ‘04S’ on the hexagonal bit socket is on the bit, so the letters are small and difficult to read. (is it my own ageing eyes?)
4. Summary
This hexagonal bit socket, including its length, is the best choice.
Note that in the maintenance record ‘How to remove side cowls and panels etc.’, some photos show the long hexagon bit socket / BT3-04L, but the BT3-04S is easier to use.
