1. To keep track of where parts have been removed and to prevent loss
The R125 has a large number of cowls and panels, so many bolts, screws etc. are used to fix them in place.
The number is,
- When side panels and cowls are removed: 37
- When the rear panel and cowls are removed: 29
The problem with removing these is keeping track of where they are removed and preventing them from being lost.
If you don’t do something about it, you may say ‘Oh no!’
- There are too many bolts!
- I don’t have enough bolts!
like that.
This is where a parts tray, or rather an ice tray, can be useful.
This helps prevent forgotten or lost installations.

3. Product review
1) Good points
- The number of blocks, size and depth of the trays are perfect for my work
- Smooth surface of the blocks makes it easy to remove parts and wash the tray.
- The plastic prevents damage to the parts.
- If you put them in the order in which you remove them, you can avoid losing or forgetting to assemble them.
- Two rows, so they can be used on the left and right side.
- White color makes it easy to see at a glance whether parts are present or not.
- Low price
- No oil or cleaning agents will dissolve in it.
- No problems after more than 10 years of use.
<Condition after 10 years>
2) Unsatisfied points
- Once, I failed to notice during the operation that a clear plastic washer was left behind (my carelessness).
4. Summary
I really recommend this parts tray.
It prevents parts from being lost and makes it easier to remember where you have removed them.
- For servicing the R125, you only need two to do most of the work!
- Be careful not to kick the tray away (with a lid and a rubber band to secure it in storage).
