KTC 9.5sq Handle AB-53

目次

1. To prevent over-tightening

Up to now, I have been using a combination of a KTC sliding head handle + extension bar like a T-type hexagonal spanner to remove and install the bolts and tapping screws that hold the cowl in place.
However, I wanted something a little more compact and bought this handle.

Also, the spring nut, which is often used on the R125, will break if the tapping screw is over-tightened.
So, this product, with its short handle, prevents over-tightening.

3. Product Review

1) Good points

  • The short handle makes it difficult to apply high torques (less likely to break the spring nut).
  • Lightweight and easy to handle.
  • I like the slightly rough surface finish that is consistent with KTC tools.

2) Unsatisfied points

  • If the handle was about 10 mm longer, it would fit my hand just fine.
  • I put it away in my toolbox with the KTC long hexagonal bit socket / BT03-04L on it, but it doesn’t fit into my toolbox. (I’m just not organized and tidy enough.)

4. Summary

It is lightweight, compact and easy to handle.

On the other hand, the handle is the part that touches your hand, so you may have your own preferences.
I choose KTC for my handles, but your own senses and preferences are also important.
